I usually leave a treat at my kids seat at the kitchen table. That is what my Mom always did. Last year I left a little toy instead of candy but I am not sure what I will leave this year.
I am not sure what to do for my hubby this year! Any suggestions?
We have a little present for our girls. I have a present for my hubby. And this year I'm doing a Valentine's dinner: heart-shaped pizza and red and pink fruit.
I will pick up some little trinket for my daughter, nothing big. Usually I just get a card for my husband. This year I am including a gift certificate to go out to eat. I got a great deal on restaurants.com if anyone is interested. You use the promotion code HEART to get like 80% off of gift certificate prices. It used to be that it was only for kind of crappy places, but recently they've added some really nice restaurants in our town. Some of them have minimum purchase prices once you get to the restaurant, but the one I found wasn't bad. I paid $2 for a $25 gift certificate to a place with a $35 min. purchase. In other words, we'll end up paying $12 for a $35 meal at a nice restaurant. Sorry for the long plug there, but I am always excited to find a way to have an inexpensive nice date!
Hubby - the treats he loves but never buys. And a collage of the girls that I got for free at walgreens today (code VDAY).
Girls - we will do a Valentine treasure hunt to get the few trinkets I picked up at the $1 spot at Target. Heart shaped muffins for breakfast, and a red-themed dinner.
