Wednesday Weekly

Are you cooking the turkey this year? If so, how will it be cooked and where will you be spending the holiday?

Not cooking it, and I have actually never cooked my own turkey. We have always had Thanksgiving with relatives who do the turkey. I believe it is just cooked in the roaster. We eat tons and tons of food and then we usually gather in one room and go through all the black friday ads and map out our course of action for the next day! I love black friday shopping, I know its crazy, but that makes it fun!

I've been married nearly 8 years and I've been able to avoid cooking a turkey thus far. I'm going to see how long I can keep this streak going.

During the years we lived very far from hom we took our small family to Cracker Barrel every year for Thanksgiving Dinner. Not too shabby, actually.

We're going to my sister's this year. My specialty is pumpkin pie, so that shall be my contribution.

Not cooking turkey. We will be on an airplane traveling to Virginia where most of my family will be for the holiday. That weekend we are blessing the baby!

We're sticking around in NY and I'm cooking the turkey for my 3rd time. I know it's "against the rules" but I always put stuffing in the bird. No family this year, but we are having some friends come over to celebrate!

Wow, I haven't even thought about it yet. Last year I roasted my first turkey for Thanksgiving because we live far from family. This year we have no plans, I have been busy with a newborn and planning my kids' birthday party the week before.

I'm cooking the turkey this year... my first time!! I'm nervous, but I just got a William Sonoma Holiday cookbook and it has several yummy sounding turkey recipes, so I'll just choose one of those to make. I should probably hurry and decide what I'm doing... :D Its what, two weeks away?

We always spend Thanksgiving with the in-laws and my MIL has a turkey baker that she uses. I don't know what I'm going to do when the time comes for me to make my own turkey. It scares me to think of all that pressure resting on my shoulders!!

I'm not cooking this year (friends invited us over), and I'm so sad! I think I'll probably make the whole Thanksgiving dinner on another day, just to get it out of my system. :)
