Baby Name resources

Does anyone have some fun baby name resources they go to on the web? We are having a girl in a few months and pretty much have zero names right now. If we are surprised with a boy, we'll be ready with several names we love, but we're stumped for a girl.

I don't really love the sites where you start with "A" and then see a billion "A" names. I'd love to see something with different categories or something. Just thought maybe y'all had some favorites you've used before!

I always enjoyed looking through "The Best Baby Name Book"... not so helpful a suggestion, since you'd have to buy it!!

What kinds of names do you like? What are you looking for? Then we can all start throwing out suggestions!

It's not a web resource but I have a fun book called "Beyond Jennifer and Jason" and it has more interesting lists like: strong names, famous names, wimpy names, feminine names, classic names, stuff like that so you have shorter lists. We found that we definitely like names in certain categories and not others. Besides, it was fun to see the crazy things famous people name their kids! Sage Moon Blood or Apple, anyone?

I liked going to http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/ it is the Social Security Administration database of names. I used it to check out which names were becoming trendy (because we didn't want a "trendy" name) but we also used it to see what names were popular twenty years ago or whatever (if you want some ideas of names that aren't used much anymore). You can search by state too, which is kind of fun.

I like that one. It's just really fun. You can see the popularity of names over time. My husband and I had a good time.
