Follow-up on Cookbook post

Last year we did a recipe series where there was a new category each week for everyone to post their tried-and-true recipes. All of those recipes are in the recipe archives of this blog.

If I remember correctly, some of the categories were appetizers, desserts, Italian, slow cooker, and I think soup, salad, and bread.

Which categories do you nominate for this time around? They can be repeats of last yaer. They can be general or specific. Let's take ideas throughout this week.

What about different meats as categories... chicken, pork, beef, seafood. I love being able to find recipes based on what type of meat I have on hand. A vegetarian main meals category would be nice too... I'm a huge fan of not dealing with meat at all!

I vote to include slow cooker again. Also, what about a casseroles category?

Could we do veggies? I'm really boring with vegetables they are either: steamed, stir fried, raw, or in a salad (which I guess is sub-category of raw). BORING I need some good ideas (especially ideas that don't take the health-benefits out of them).

How about rice? My husband and I recently got a rice cooker and we're trying to eat more rice...but I'm always looking for ways to season it/make cool rice dishes. Maybe that's a dumb category...but really...I'm interested!

I second the veggies. I am always looking for new recipes for meatless dishes. We could do a lunch category based on one of the previous posts.

I also throw in a vote for slow cooker, veggies and what about food storage? I know I can always use more recipes for that!
