Bath Time Blues
My boys are 2 and 1. They love the bath but they splash a lot! I don't mind and I expect some splashing but I really dislike them splashing so much that the floor gets all wet. I've told them to stop, I've taken toys away and we've ended bath time early but it still continues. How do you deal with splashers? Also, what do your little ones do in the tub? My boys have a bunch of little rubber duckies, some cups, a fish and submarine that swim around but they seem to be really bored with all of these.

Stress
What are some ways to lower stress? I have been really sick due to stress and even when I don't feel stressed I still have been sick because it's always there in the back of my head. Any suggestions?

cabin fever
I am running out of fun things to do with my children at home, day after day. We don't get out of the house at all, except for sacrament meeting, because my daughter has CF and it is flu season. I really need some new ideas to make things fun again. What are some of your favorite games to play with your kids while you are stuck at home? Any fun crafty ideas? Favorite songs? Anything would be great!

Mother Goose
A friend of mine mentioned that her little girl really likes Mother Goose so I decided to check out a Mother Goose book at the library. I have found it to be a great way to include chants and songs in your kids' lives. My toddler was loving that the book included "Ring around the rosies", "Humpty Dumpty", and more.

Nap Boycotter
Help! My two year old is boycotting her naps. I am not ready to give up naptime, and I feel like she is young enough that she still needs them. I have tried putting her to bed earlier, so that she'll wake up earlier, and be more tired at naptime, but she still sleeps in until her normal awake time. I've still been putting her in her crib, but she just plays and talks in there and won't go to sleep. I guess you could say she's at least getting quiet time, and maybe she'll start falling asleep again. But I've been avoiding switching her to a toddler bed, in fear that she'll just play at naptime, and now my fears are confirmed. If I put her in a bed, I think we'll have to kiss naptime officially good-bye because she'll just get up and play! What do you think? Is this just a phase, or are my days of getting things done in the afternoon over?

Follow My Blog...
Laura mentioned a few months ago, that I have a blog that is geared toward sharing the gospel with my non-member friends. I talk about our religion and bear testimony using examples from my own life. I would love to increase traffic to my site and have added a "Follow My Blog" gadget. I would love it if you would choose to either subscribe to or follow my blog. (You can do this by clicking on those words on the right side of my blog: http://beinglds.blogspot.com) I am hoping that you will read a post here and there and share these messages with your friends when the spirit moves you.

Valentine's Day Stamping...
Hi Ladies - I thought some of you crafty/stampy-type gals would like to check out my sister's blog. She was asked to be a guest designer for the Starving Artistamps company and has just put up a few of her first designs for them on her blog. She is amazing at what she does, so you'll probably want to look at some of her other cards too to get some fun ideas for your own creations.
Toddler Car Seat
My 8 month old daughter is almost too big for her infant car seat. She has about 1/4- 1/2 inch left to grow before she is over the limit. So we were planning on buying a new toddler car seat for my 28 month old, and moving my youngest into the convertible car seat. We currently have the Britax Boulevard, and I love it. But when I was reading reviews on the Frontier and Regent there were complaints about installation and bulkiness. I don't want to put her in a booster because I feel safer keeping my daughter in a 5 point harness for as long as we can. What toddler car seats do you have and what do you like/dislike about them?

A Brand New Year
Hello Ladies -
Have you checked out the new website that the church launched on Jan 1? It's TOTALLY awesome...called "A Brand New Year".
Of course, it's for the youth, but it's got all these great downloads, music and videos.
You HAVE to listen to this song called "Say Yes"...I am not sure, but it does sound like David Archuleta is singing on this track.
Anyway, the song lyrics are sooo smart and good. And it's a fun song...You will want to download it, trust me!
Anyway, Happy New Year, friends...and "Say yes to Happiness" in 2009!
-Jocelyn
No more consignment and used kids clothes!
Have you guys seen this legislation that is being passed on Feb. 10th? It is crazy and outrageous . I have bought the majority of my daughter's clothes from mom to mom sales, yard sales and children's resale boutiques. My budget is going to be hurting once this is passed. Anyone else a little frustrated?

Sorry to post twice today!
I love hearing about peoples birth experiences and I love to share mine. I am thinking about starting a blog of different peoples birth experiences. If you would like to contribute your story, which I would love to hear, e-mail it to susan.schacher@gmail.com and write as the subject Birth story. You are welcome to invite your friends to write in also. I will post a link to my blog once I get it set up how I like it! THANKS

Going back to school.
Well many of you will remember last semester when I posted about whether or not to take online classes. Well I did end up taking them and it was really hard since I had a baby in the middle of the semester. I passed but not with a high grade. Well I am crazy and once again I am taking classes. I only have 5 classes left until I am done with my associates degree. I am taking 3 this semester. Two of the classes that I am taking I am actually going to class for and my kids are going to the daycare at UVU that I used to work at. My daughter is only 3 months and I am really worried about taking her there.
Well my question for all of you today is about whether or not I should pump breast milk for her, for while she is at the daycare or to just give her formula. She has had formula many times and takes it just fine. Do you think that giving her formula is fine? Do you think pumping is a better alternative? How do I pump enough for her for while I am gone, if I do choose to pump?
Also I am worried about her wanting to stop nursing. Do you think giving her 1-2 bottles tuesday and thursday evenings while I am gone, might make her want to stop nursing all together? This is hard for me because I couldn't nurse my first baby and she is such a good nurser. I don't want to ruin that! Any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated. THANKS
