Coupon Sense

Does anyone use Coupon Sense or any other coupon-ing site? I'm wanting to get better about using coupons and saving money, especially for getting my food storage built up, but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to saving money. Spending money is definitely my strength! :D I don't mind paying for the help, but I want to be sure that I'll save enough for it to be worth it. Any thoughts you all have would be great!

I posted about it on my blog not too long ago...here is a link to the post.

But to summarize, the sites I use are:

bargainbriana.com
dealseekingmom.com

babycheapskate.com
freebies4mom.com

On Sundays, I organize my coupons into different envelopes based on which store I am going to be using them at. Otherwise I leave the coupons unclipped and organize the ad by date in a shoebox.

Let me know if you have any questions, and I would be happy to help you get started.

Move to Utah (by me) and use savvyshopper with me! I think that is the best idea in the whole world!

I use the same sites Liz said as well as hip2save.blogspot.com- it has great deals posted on things that aren't only groceries such as entertainment, clothing, etc.

I suggest going to some of the sites mentioned and taking the time to read each of their "coupon 101" posts to help you get started.

I promise- it may seem confusing at first, but once you get it and try it you will be hooked! Saving tons of money and building up your food storage is such an awesome feeling!! Good luck!

couponmom.com is free and makes it easy to just file your newspaper coupons by date and then they tell you when to use them and at what stores. It is awesome. Plus, they have online printable coupons. I highly recommend it, it is as easy as anything I've seen.

I've also looked at http://krazycouponlady.blogspot.com/
but a lot of it is local to utah (Albertsons, etc.)

Okay...one last piece of advice. Do your coupon shopping on Monday morning. A lot of times the really good deals will be gone by the end of the week. It is a lot less frustrating just getting it done at the beginning of the week. (Although if I am short on money, I will wait til the end of the week for a few of the items and then get rainchecks for them...).

Oh..and if you need a little motivation to get you going...this morning I went shopping and spent $37. I saved $35.50 with my coupons and $46 by getting the items on sale. That is a total of $84 in savins and I only spent $37. I love leaving the store feeling like I got WAY MORE than my money's worth...

Claire, I use the same sites as Liz and Molly but just a warning-you may get frusterated at times because the deals will be a little different in your area. They are a lot closer to us, I think Indianna or something, but I still find a lot that I don't have the coupons they refer to. So I think inserts in papers vary a little by region.

I think finding a sight that shows deals for your area is great. I really like dealseekingmom.com, and couponing101.com is a great site for me personally because she is based in Texas. A lot of the deals for grocery stores are regional, so finding a site of someone in your state makes things the easiest.
