YES! When I was engaged I working at a school. On my way to work, I stopped in at Best Buy to pick up a CD that had a song on it that I wanted in my wedding video. As I approached the store, I fell flat on my face. I did not trip. I fell. The contents of my purse spread everywhere! I picked myself up. I picked my stuff up. I then walked into the store. There was a line of employees standing there trying not to laugh. They had witnessed the whole thing. I laughed. I got my CD and went to work.

I was in high school. I rode the bus to school so it must have been my sophomore year. I was getting off the bus and tripped on uneven concrete. I didn't want my sunglasses in my hand to scratch so I went sprawling. I slammed my forehead on the ground. I was so worried about people noticing that I got up, despite the pounding pain and walked into school like nothing had happened. I went up to my class and sat down still acting like nothing had happened. My friend came and sat down next to me and asked me how I was feeling. I acted like there was nothing wrong but she pointed out that my entire forehead was red, swollen and bleeding! I ended up in the ER with a concussion. It was so not nothing. Note to self, next time, screw the sunglasses and make sure you look in the mirror to assess the damage before you act like nothing's wrong!!

When I was in 10th grade I went to London with Marching bad to march in their New Years parade. It was a long parade and when we got back to the hotel I was exhausted. There were way to many people tryng to get on the elevator so I decided to just take the stairs. I started running up the stairs and fell. I started again and fell again. Then some boys were walking up behind me so I was trying to hurry and I fell AGAIN!! 3 times I fell!! It was a very weird feeling and very embarrassing!

Those are good stories! When I was in college, I slipped on ice walking on campus and fell right on my bum. I felt so awkward because I had a backpack and I was holding a lunchbox and probably one or two musical instrument cases. Probably at least twenty people witnessed it and they just kind of tried not to look and passed right by me. Getting up was a challenge.

Linz, did you ask this question on purpose, with me in mind??? It takes me straight back to that time in Applebees where we told falling stories til we practically peed our pants. That was a great night...

My best falling story was when I was a freshman in college. I was riding my bike on campus, and I tried to pass these two upperclassmen (good looking) guys. At the exact moment I tried to cut back in front of them, my tire got caught in the rut between the sidewalk and grass, and I dramatically fell, literally at their feet. As I scrambled to my feet, I tried to play it "cool" and stammered something about "I heard you weren't a true Spartan til you fall off your bike." They didn't laugh-just gave me a weird look and one of them said, "Huh...I guess I'm not a Spartan yet then." Needless to say, I couldn't pedal away fast enough!

Funny you should ask. Last night at volleyball one of the girls on the other team was sarcastically taunting me saying I was the weakest link. Just then my ankle rolled and I fell on the floor. I wasn't even moving - my ankle just gave out when she said weakest link. Everyone just about died laughing at me!

When I was 36 weeks pregnant with Cecelia I was in the YW presidency and the youth were playing kickball. By that poin in pregnancy, I had "gotten use to" being large as a house and didn't think about how unsteady I'd be. I decided I was going to play, despite Scott asking me not to. I kicked the ball, turned to run and fell, like a tree, in front of all the youth in the ward. It was seriously one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. I still cringe thinking about it. I cried like a baby because I was scared I had hurt Cecelia. I slept horrible that night and ended up going to the hospital the next morning just to be sure everything was ok with her. She was fine, but I like to joke that the reason she was 14 days late is she was scared what things would be like outside the womb since I was such a clutz when she was inside.
