I first saw it on a news program so they had already described what a surprise it was to hear her sing. So my first thought was... can't wait to hear this. She is A-MAY-ZING! What an incredible voice. I hope she does well on the show.
I'd seen the blurb about it on yahoo for a few days before I watched it. I knew she had to be good but ... I didn't expect that good. Her voice is beautiful.
I just kept thinking she needs her eyebrows plucked. I can't imagine her selling much without a makeover, and maybe she should do broadway, she would be good as mother roles.
I agree with the eyebrows needing to be plucked, but WOW- I had not seen this before- she has an amazing voice! I love it when underdogs do well!
I loved it! I thought it was so fun! I saw the judges on a morning talk show a few days later and they said they didn't want to "make her over" to keep her real but I do think a good haircut never hurts!
I first saw her on my facebook home page... I saw people posting the video, and making a big deal about it. I honestly thought it was a man dressed up as a woman. I couldn't figure out why all the fuss and why it was so great that everyone was posting it. I finally broke down to watch it and was blown away. Obviously not a man! :) Though I agree, she could use some eyebrow help. Some of her technique drove me crazy, but overall, what an amazing surprise! Just another reminder not to judge on appearance!
I agree about needing some eyebrow work. I know that is totally rude and superficial but COME ON!!!!!!!!! It is inexpensive and makes a drastic difference. Tweezers are under $5!!!!
I too had heard about the surprise factor before I saw the clip. I love to see the judges faces change from "let's hurry and get this ugly one through and onto a real star" to "DANG this lady rocks!!!" She has an awesome voice. I think she will find some success.
I hate to say it, but part of her success will be based on her looks. She had better get a makeover fast.
lol at all the eyebrow remarks, but I have to say, to me, that's just British!!! My Mum is from England, and while there are plenty of people who do pluck their eyebrows, it definitely isn't as main stream as it is here.
