Costco Diapers
Does anyone else buy diapers at Costco? Perhaps this is old news but I just went to their website and discovered that they sell the Kirkland brand diapers and wipes online! We have a costco about 5 minutes away but this is great in case I ever live somewhere that doesn't have a costco nearby.

How do Kirkland compare to brand name diapers? I'm a dedicated Target diaper girl but I do like brand name for newborns and I'm always on the hunt for a good bargain.
No, I buy the Sam's Club brand. And I really like them!!!
Would it still be worth it even if you had to pay shipping?
By the way, a month or so ago I noticed that the price per unit for the big ol' box of Huggies diapers at Costco was the same as the Kirkland brand.
Actually the Huggies used to be cheaper...but now the Costco ones are (just by a little). Which is fine by me because the Huggies dyed the inside of my baby's clothes the color of the characters on the diaper. Did that happen to anyone else? It was so bizzare.
Anyway, to answer the question about for newborns...they don't sell size newborn or 1 at Costco...I don't know if they do online or not..but they don't have them there. And my daughter really couldn't start wearing them until she was a year old without them leaking for some reason...so we just switched from Pampers.
As far as I understand, Costco diapers are actually made by Huggies... they make them and market them under the Kirkland brand. That's why they tend to be right about the same price.
I love the Costco diapers for my toddler. We started buying his there when he started wearing size 3, because they didn't make smaller sizes...until now. Costco now carries size 1 & 2, a combined diaper. We used them for our newest son but I didn't like them. I prefer Pampers for newborn to size 2.
As for the quality...I know they are made by Huggies but to me they seem better than huggies. The sides stretch much more than the actual huggies I've purchased. I am not a huggies fan. The costco diapers haven't leaked much, only occasionally at night when Luke's had a lot to drink the day before.
As for the shipping...If there wasn't a Costco nearby it would definitely be worth it. If there was a costco say, within an hours drive or so I may opt for shiping...with gas prices being so high it may be better than spending the gas, but then again it could equal out.
The Costco diapers are 39.90 (19 1/2 cents per diaper). The Huggies are 39.99 (20 cents per diaper). Barely any difference at all.
