I have only once. I was trying to find BYU fabric to sew a scrub cap for my Dad. It was easy and in great condition.
I have friends who have used fabric dot com and like it but I never really find what i'm looking for there.
I have bought fabric online and have been happy. It ends up being more expensive due to shipping, but the selection is huge.
I have used ebay (both stores and individual sellers that don't specialize in selling fabric) and have been really happy.
The only downside to buying fabric online is that you have to trust your computer monitor to give you the right colors of fabric.
Anyway, I wouldn't hesitate to buy online again.
