It looks as though we will become a two car family in the next few months, so I'm starting to look at what kind of car I might want... I definitely want 4 doors (right now we have a two door Blazer, makes life fun with a baby!!) and I'd like something with good gas mileage, so I guess I won't be getting my Hummer this time around :)
What car/van/SUV do you drive? What are your likes and dislikes? What vehicles have you looked at that you like or dislike? Also, does anyone know of good websites (that you don't have to pay for) that give good reviews and safety ratings? Any ideas, suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!!

We bought a used Honda Accord this last summer and LOVE it! It gets great gas mileage-was three years old with low miles because it was a lease return to the dealer so it even has a warantee. It's a great family car.
We bought a used Trailblazer. We have loved having the space and it's wonderful for any kind of traveling, even short distances. I personally really like driving SUV's. However, SUV's definitely aren't the best option for good gas mileage. I think some of the new ones are better, but we couldn't afford to go brand new. Good luck.
We have a dodge caravan. I like having a van, but right now I have two benchs. The next time that we actually buy a van (my parents gave us our 2000 caravan) I want a van with the two pilot seats in the middle. Also, look at trunk space. The regular caravan, like we have, has a really small trunk. The grand caravan has a much larger trunk. We are about to have 4 kids, so I only have vans on the brain. Sorry I have no advice about actual cars.
Is that an announcement, Kristi? Congratulations!!!
I LOVE my Toyota Matrix. It gets great gas mileage and is a little more roomy than your average sedan without being a full SUV. It will work fine with two car seats (when/if that time comes) but if we are blessed with three kids we plan to get a Mazda 6 (it has a third row). It isn't as huge as a van or typical SUV either, gets great gas mileage (for its size) and is reliable. My in-laws have one and we love it.
Good luck and make sure you let us know what you end up getting.
If I could choose any car I would definitly pick a Hyundai sonata. They are big and have good space but for a family it isn't all that practical. My sister has a Ford Freestar and I really like it. The back seat folds up so it has a huge trunk and the middle seat can be taken out for transporting big things. It's a nice van. I just drive a saturn and my husband drives a honda nothing to exciting.
I guess it is an announcement :) I am 18 weeks along and will find out on January 11th if we will be having a 4th boy or if it is time for a little girl to come to our family.
