My SIL added some comments to answer your questions about digital scrapbooking. Here is the example she referred to in one of her comments:

I had looked at sites like "My Publisher" and "Snapfish" and they made nice albums but it was just pictures on a white page, this is much more creative. The Kennedys said...: Yes, it is all "digital", but the way the individual items are all made, they look like they are 3 dimensional. That is correct about the finished product being saved as a jpeg so you could print at Snapfish! :); June 23, 2007 at 6:46 AM
