Ensign Hoarding
Do you keep all of your old Ensigns? We used to, but I used a lot of them last year to make quiet books for my daughter and niece and nephews. However, we still have a lot and I'm trying to convince myself I don't need them. Everything is online now, but do you think there's a benefit to keeping them? (And moving them from Minnesota to Utah? :)

RECYCLE.....or give them to shelters or somewhere where someone might actually read them! ONLINE is WAY greener.....RECYLCE RECYCLE RECYCLE!
Definitely recycle. I love them but they pile up soooooo quickly and I don't need excess piles!!
We have the same problem. But it's so hard to throw away the words of the prophets!! :) In order to limit our collection, I went through and cut out articles from the first presidency (I'm only keeping the current first presidency) or articles I like, then put them in a binder with other talks I've printed off, etc. The goal is to categorize the binder someday (but right now that's more organization than I'm capable of :) ). Other than that, we only keep the past couple years worth and conference editions. Even though they are on-line, sometimes it's nice to have a hard copy, or something you can flip through. I'm not sure if that was any help at all. I guess it depends on how many years worth you have. If you have 4 or more, then it'd cut the amount significantly, but if you only have 2 years worth, then it wouldn't make much of an impact.
Thanks! Just needed someone else to tell me it was okay to get rid of them! :)
Jen L, I love the binder idea! We are always printing out talks to read or use to prepare lessons. Afterwards we never know whether to file them or recycle them. The binder idea is a great one (especially if it was organized by topic). Thanks for the idea!
Purge purge purge!!! When we moved from Logan UT to Tempe AZ we eliminated about 1/3 of our belongings. It was kind of rough going through and actually purging (we had a GREAT yardsale and made decent money) but I love that I don't feel cluttered in my new home.
