My fear would be somewhat along the lines of Chantel but when it come to "phobias" I freak out in high open places. Planes are fine but a cliff or overlook just does me in. I went to the top of the Eiffel Tower five years ago and was hyper-ventilating and clinging to the side of the wall. An American tourist pointed to me and said to her husband, "look, there is another green one!" I was so mad. I wanted to say, "I speak English, I know that you are talking about me!" Of course I couldn't because I was hyper-ventilating. :)
I am criminal-phobic. I am always afraid that a criminal is going to victimize me in some way. I walk to my car with my key out ready to scratch out eyeballs, my car doors are always locked, I don't open my front door unless I know who it is, etc.
bamamoma--I have the exact same fear. I climbed all the way to the top of the Vatican. I had no problem at the very top outside, but there is a part not quite at the very top where you go inside and it overlooks all of the tiny people inside The Vatican with just this gate holding you back and I about died!
When my hubby seems to be late or I can't get a hold of him, I start freaking out that he's been in an accident. I love him so much!
I'm with you Linz... I've become even more paranoid than ever before since Scott became a police officer. I once called him home at like 2 in the morning because the light I always keep on while he is gone, went out suddenly. I just about died! When he's gone at night the slightest noise makes me jump, and all the horrible things that could possibly happen run through my mind!
I too am scared that something will happen to my hubby, and unfortunately he isn't in the greatest career choice considering how paranoid I am. All I can say, is thank goodness for Priesthood blessings, or I would never be okay with what he does!
i second linz on the criminal-phobia and the late husband thing. My husband always forgets to bring his cell phone to work and when he's late I assume he's dead or hurt and I swear he almost comes home to me in tears. I'm crazy.
Also, I ALWAYS lock my doors in the car and at home and I'm scared of strangers...I'm weird.
Okay, I am so glad that I'm not the only one who has those fears of something happening to my husband, I thought I was going a little crazy! I start to freak out when he's late and have been known to say a prayer or two on occasion. I'm also slightly paranoid about being attacked in some way. I think I watch way too much 24 and CSI. I'm afaid of being the victim in a meaningless crime (because, let's face it, I doubt that any of us are druglords or gang members!). I think I have a WAY too active imagination!
I'm totally with you girls on being victimized or my husband dying (I can't tell you how many times I've completely planned his funeral). It's so nice to know I'm not the only one with an overactive imagination!
One of my biggest Phobias is that my son will die. I agree with everyone elses phobias too. Lately I have been scared about my husband and son dying because a friend of mine and his baby daughter were recently killed in a car accident. I can't imagine losing my boys! I love them so much!

Please don't laugh. I'm deathly afraid of the Snuggle Bear.
