Shepherd's Pie

Can anyone share a good Shepherd's Pie recipe? I've never made it or eaten it but I'd like to try. If there's been a post of it in the past, please just point that out to me.

Liz&Meg's recipe sounds pretty good! I just thought I'd quickly share what I learned about Shephard's Pie from my mum. First, Shephard's Pie is usually made with lamb (hence Shephard) and its beef counterpart would be known as Cottage Pie. (Though in the States, its all the same!)

In England, Roast is a typical Sunday meal, so Shephards/Cottage Pie would be made with any leftovers. So whatever veggies were served with the roast would be put in with the minced up meat- Liz&Meg included my two favourites in her recipes. Green beans and peas. Any extra gravy would be thrown in with the meat, and then the leftover potatoes would top it off. I don't usually have left over gravy so I mix a beef buillion cube with some water and pour it over the beef and veggies. This is one of my all time favourite meals! I hope you guys like it.

Rachael Ray just made a spring version of shepard's pie on her show. It was made with chicken and looked pretty good.
