Children's books

I love collecting children's books, reading them, and sharing them with my son. We have books in every room in our house! Anyway I am just curious to know what everyone's favorite children's books are and why you like them. I am hoping to go to the library this week and check some books out and ideas would be great!

I love the author Jan Brett. Her illustrations are awesome.
King Bidgoods in the Bathtub is a great book too, by Audrey and Don Wood. All their books are great.
Have fun at the library!

We're still in the boardbook phase so our favorites are Sandra Boynton books, Biscuit the dog books, stuff like that. MY personal favorites are The Napping House, Amelia Bedelia, and Eric Carle books.

We really like the books by Matthew Van Fleet, anything pop-up or where you peek under the flaps, Jennifer Ward's books like Over in the Garden, and Somewhere in The Ocean (that was a suggestion from Linz), and books where you sing along or do actions like If You're Happy and You Know it, etc.

My daughter is really into Dr. Seuss books. Namely "Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?," "Oh the thinks you can think," "Hop on Pop" and "ABCs." Plus March is Dr. Seuss month, and lots of stores are having good sales on his books!
