Wednesday Weekly

Bethany VH had a question to ask this week:

Do you like to rearrange furniture?

Speaking of Bethany, congratulations to both Bethany's on their new baby boys!

Congrats on the babies!
I do like to rearrange furniture but my husband doesn't so I don't do it much. Besides, it's a flaw of our house-there aren't many ways you can rearrange most of our rooms. boring!!

Thank you!

I LOVE rearranging my furniture. However, my Hub is the same way Liz. He grew up never moving furniture around and I grew up changing my room around all the time! Our living room will never be able to be rearranged because of my husbands home theater set up....but thats okay, I can do whatever I want with the rest of the house. I enjoy moving things around because it makes me feel good, it's new and refreshing to me.

I like to rearrange furniture but in the apartment we are in right now there is only one way to have the furniture so instead of rearranging I reorganize.

I love to rearrange, but unfortunately because of cable hook-ups and furniture that's too big for the rooms it's in, we can't really rearrange much of anything! It's been a while since I've done any rearranging, maybe I'll have to go take a closer look and see what I can come up with...

I don't really like it that much. Like most have said, sometimes it seems there are not many options for wherever everything can go. I used to LOVE doing it to my room when I was growing up. I would draw out a diagram for it and stuff before moving everything.

I LOVE to rearrange furniture... but I get maybe a little TO into it!! I really dislike moving it just to find out my "vision" doesn't work with the dimensions of our house, so I put my drafting/interior design skills to work (thank goodness college is coming in handy a little bit!). I measure my room and each piece of furniture then I make a diagram of the room including doors, windows, closets, etc, make cutouts of the furniture then rearrange them (on paper) till I find what will work in reality. I did this when we set up Cecelia's nursery and it worked great, so now I do it whenever I'm setting up a room.

I love to rearrange. It makes it feel like a new house! I used to think we didn't have many options because of our small house, but you'd be surprised Ladies! When we remodeled, we rearranged a couple rooms totally different and they actually have MORE room now. I thought for sure I had the house arranged the best way for maximizing space before. You might be surprised if you start "playing around!"

For all the reasons mentioned, I've resorted to rearranging the decor instead of the furniture. It is much easier to switch out a picture or whatever than to move a big couch. I love the feeling of having a new room. This week I hung some new pictures and Eden woke up from her nap and was so excited - pointing to the new pictures. I think I'm training her young. :)

I love to rearrange things. My hubby never complains about it but I think he wonders why I do it.

Right now I am in a small apartment, so I haven't done it for awhile. I can't wait to get some more space!!!

Great ideas about rearranging decorations instead of furniture. That is a great idea!

Thanks for posting this, Linz! After I read this I started to get an itch to do some rearranging and now our family room looks so much better and way more spacious! Thanks!
