where are my fellow LOST junkies??

So, my husband hasn't been keeping up on LOST and so I have no one to talk about it!!! So there aren't spoilers for any fans who aren't up to date, I'll post some comment questions that maybe you can help me with!

How many of the Oceanic 6 do we know about?
Jack
Hurley
Kate
Sayid
Sun (were you totally fooled like I was about Sun's flash forward and Jin's flashback?? I kept getting mad at Jin for taking so stinkin' long to get to the hospital!!)
do we count Aaron? Are you all assuming it's Claire's boy like I am?
Desmond's time travel episode is another that totally confused me time wise-does he get off? not? do we know?

What is up with Michael coming back??? I have to admit, he's one of my least favorite characters. argh!

What do you think of these "rescuers" that are one second appearing to be about to kill them all and the next save them all? besides that you don't trust any of them???

Now that Desmond's talked to Penny, why can't she figure out that her Dad's boat is the one that Desmond was on?

What else have you figured out?

I am not sure if they are counting aaron as one of the 6, that is a good question. Yes, I am assuming it is Claire's son for sure. They totally fooled me last week, at first I thought that both Jin and Sun got off. I was sad that Jin didn't. I am curious to find out how Micheal came about being on that boat and where the heck is Walt then?

I don't know that by talking to Desmond that Penny would know that it is her fathers boat unless he were to call her back and tell her.

Not sure what to think of the rescures yet. This show always confuses me.

Sorry you don't know who I am, but I read this blog all the time and had to add my thoughts...

I think Aaron definitely has to be Claire's boy because he's too old to be Kate's. The trial would have been held really soon after she got back (definitely not a few 'years' after). I'm betting that he is the 6th from the island.

What I want to know is, who is the person who died whose funeral Jack attended and then asked Kate about? Jack said he was neither friend nor family... Hmmmm...

And how the heck does Ben get off the island and why on earth is Sayid working for him?!?!?

I'm hoping Desmond does get off but be wouldn't be considered an Oceanic survivor cuz he was on the island earlier.

I don't have any idea why those people are there... What was up with Charlotte being a scientist finding polar bear remains in the middle of an African country with the Dharma symbol? Whaat????!!!

The show was accurately named... We're all a little lost on what is going on!!

Hi none of you know me either, but I am a total lost junkie! I don't think Aaron can be considered one of the Oceanic 6 because he wasn't technically a passenger on the plane. I think they are trying to pass him off as Kate's son that "she had on the island" because of the whole "time doesn't pass the same way on the island as the rest of the world" thing. Also, the 6th member of the Oceanic 6 would have had to have been away from the island when the hatch exploded. The whole magnetism thing would mess everyone else up like it did Desmond until they could get it all straightened out. Maybe the 6th person is Michael? Remember how in the flash forwards Jack and Hurley both say they have to go back to the island? Well I think it is because all the passengers are interconnected somehow and the only way they can get everyone else off the island from the whole magnetism thing is to find their "constants" which end up being each other (ie Jack and Claire are siblings but don't know it, Sawyer knew Jacks Dad, etc). Just some food for thought!

good questions ladies!! and if you're new keep commenting-we love visitors!
I hadn't thought about the time thing with Aaron except that he WAS born on the island so might NOT be one of the 6.

not sure exactly about the hatch exploding and how that would make the 6th off the island at that time but what about the others that were on the island? how could it be Jack and kate etc. then??

I guess the Aarpn question depends on whether they are saying 6 of the original passengers survived or whether there are 6 people rescued. The other thing I don't get is how those 6 get decided on! If Kate knows that she'll go to jail, why wouldn't she let Claire take her place in the rescue? And why wouldn't Hurley have let Jin have his seat? It seems like Hurley would be more selfless than that. I just hope we get some more answers before the season ends and that we aren't left with even more questions. Oh yeah, and why are they all lying about everyone else being dead instead of going back to rescue them? I'm betting Ben is behind that one...

I think that it was Ben's funeral that Jack went to. No one else showed up (cause no one likes Ben), and when Jack asked Kate if she was going to it, she responded with, "Why would I?" I also think that Jin is still alive on the island after the 6 are rescued (at least I hope so:) This show drives me NUTS but I can't stop watching!

I think the reason Kate has Aaron is because something happens to Claire (i.e. she doesn't survive). Otherwise Claire would come back. I wonder if Jack had something to do with it because when we wanted to see Kate, she told him that he could see her if he also saw Aaron.

My opinions:

I don't think Aaron will be counted as one of the final six. And the only reason that Kate has Aaron is because something happened to Claire otherwise there's no way she would've given her son up. Also, Jack doesn't want to see him because he reminds him that he failed in getting everyone safely home.

I think it was Michael's funeral that Jack went to. He must've somehow betrayed everyone, especially by helping Penny's father find the island. That's why no one was at his funerul. (Not sure about Walt though.)

There has to be something big that happens before the 6 get off the island. Obviously there are some people who chose to stay behind, but I think that a lot of the people who don't make it back (i.e. Claire and Jin) end up dying before they're even given the opportunity to leave.

The whole Desmond thing: He was going back in time because he had no memories of being on the island so we still don't know if he gets off or not. But I think even if he does leave the island he wouldn't be considered one of the 6 because he wasn't on the plane.

I hope with the appearence of Michael we've gotten to the point in the season where we'll start getting more answers than questions!!

The reason Desmond has no memories of living on the island was because of the magnetism thing when the hatch exploded. Everyone who was on the beach was close enough to be affected by it. Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Jin, Sun and Sayid weren't close enough to be affected by the blast and have the magnetism cause them problems like Desmond and the people on the boat. I think all the people who were on the beach will have the same problem as Desmond.
