We generally hang out with the extended family at my aunt's pool all day and then go watch fireworks together. And we usually are burned to a crisp, but it's tons of fun.

I like the good old bbq and fireworks.

Ideally I'd love to spend it at a cottage on the lake, complete with bonfires, swimming, cooking out, etc. But since we don't HAVE a cottage on the lake, we're still trying to figure out what we're going to do!

we're not sure yet for this year. When I lived here before, we would go to a Bees Baseball game and watch the fireworks afterward and that was always a lot of fun! We might save that for Pioneer Day now that I get to celebrate it again though! :)

probably, swimming, BBQ and find a place to watch fireworks!

Liz&Meg--You're in UT? I'd suggest Thanksgiving Point's firework show. It's fabulous!! We were only about to go twice but it's great. Lots of grass to sit and play on and there's always a perfect view of the fireworks.

If I could have it my way, all of my family would be together (that includes the in-laws) and have my husbands BBQ ribs and swimming and then the good ol' fireworks in the street. Unfortunately, that won't happen, at least this year, so I am going to the AFB to watch their show.

We have a picnic in the afternoon with hamburgers and hot dogs up in provo canyon and then in the evening make a sack lunch or something of the sort and head to the provo temple to sit and watch the stadium of fire fireworks! It is awesome!!! Plus we buy the family matching fourth of July t-shirts to wear!

4th of July to me is fireworks, yummy food, and ideally some family. This year my family will be here which is a dream come true! They are coming for my baby girl's blessing.

We do the cottage on the lake. Swim all weekend and have fires all night. Then take the boat to the middle of the lake and watch the fireworks shoot over the lake. Extended family flies in from all over the states and it's a great weekend to hang out, boat, and stuff our bellies full of watermelon and smore's.

I love hosting a BBQ... whether its friends or family or a mix of both. {This year, we won't be doing that though, since Scott works.} We have all sorts of yummy BBQ foods and I usually make avocado potato salad. Then we watch the fireworks.

I think this year Cecelia and I will be on our own. So we'll climb up on the roof and watch fireworks
by ourselves... sad!

My Grandmother lives up at Lake LBJ (near Marble Falls, TX). She has a boat and we go swimming and boating and the kids have a blast!! Her nickname is "Great-Mommy" to them since she's their Great-Grandmother. Isn't that cute!?!
