Wednesday Weekly

I was thinking the other day about a talk show I heard on the radio years ago. They were talking about what you splurge on. One person said they always have thier pizzas delivered (as opposed to carryout). Another said they buy fresh flowers for their home every week.

So, what do you splurge on?

Umm, my baby. It seems like I can't walk through target without picking up another $4 shirt or $6 pair of pants. I'm so weak.

My husband is stingy (and by that I mean...good with money) so we don't splurge on much. But...I always get Yoplait yogurt (I hate the cheap stuff...and I always get it on sale at least :) ). Also, and I don't know if this is more of a healthy thing than a splurge..but we always get whole wheat bread.

When we really make a big purchase though...we spare no expense. We believe that quality is important when you're already investing that much of your money.

2-ply TP. The comfort of my bum is worth a few more pennies.

I also get the Keebler Graham Crackers for my hubby (they are his favorite comfort food and the generic just don't cut it).

when we graduated, I told my husband we were buying Charmin and name brand dishwasher soap! I told him I couldn't handle the cheap stuff anymore! :)

buying stuff for my babe is much less guilt-ridden!

Kraft parmesan cheese! I've done the store brand several times just to "make sure" I don't like it. It tastes like cardboard and I'm done experimenting!

OF all things...my husband splurges on paper napkins. He always has to get the "nice" kind! LOL!

I, on the other hand, splurge on haircuts and lipstick...the essentials that you just don't want to go cheap on!

Kage - I also splurge on magazines for airplane trips. I can still remember the magazine that I bought (Vogue) to take with me on a trip when I was in 8th grade. It had a cologne insert that smelled like the boy that I had a major crush on. I smelled the heck out of that thing the whole flight! :)

I also splurge when I get my hair done. Not that I color it routinely or anything, but I learned the hard way not to go to any of those cheap, walk in hair places. I had a horrible haircut that took a year to grow out!

I just bought a big splurge. I found a modest dress for my husband's company's Christmas party. I always splurge if it is about modesty, luckily my husband is 100% behind me, and many times talks me into buying things that are more expensive because they are modest. It is so worth

At least half of my grocery bill is usually fresh produce. I buy fresh produce a couple of times a week.

My hubby has also converted me to Boar's Head Deli meat, no fillers, no artificial anything, one of the only brands out there that is absolutely just pure good meat. It's pricey, but now that I've heard the sales pitch for Boar's Head, I can't go back to other brands.

I enjoy the occasional trip to DQ or Coldstone. I HEART ICE CREAM.

My hubby and I splurge on movies (DVD's/BlueRay) and ice cream, usually Cold Stone.

hmmm. just recently started a splurge. for the first time in my life (30 yrs) i found clothes that fit me!! ann taylor loft- petites.
they have sales often, and good incentives- so i buy then.
i would way rather have ONE good fitting shirt than 4 shirts from Ross that are cute- but don't fit my frame.
