Baby Games
As much as I like to believe that I am a fun Mommy, I know that I could definitely use some fresh, new ideas. My daughter is restricted to our apartment until the Flu and RSV season are over, and I am in desperate need of fun games to play with an almost 5 month old. I swear this apartment gets smaller everyday! So, please give me all of your best stuff, don't hold back! Thanks so much!

If you are able to have people come to your home, I would definitley do that. I know as a stay at home mom, if I don't have contact with other people I go completely crazy. Play dates are the best. 5 months is hard, because is she the one who needs entertaining or is it mommy. I know with me, it was more mommy who needed the entertaining. Sorry if I was not of much help :(
Baby Einstein always worked for me. At least for a good 20-25 minutes. He loved the Johnny Jump-Up too and we could play with that for at least an hour. Honestly, car rides worked great. The key is to have the car warmed up before you pack her out there all bundled up. I got to see parts of Cache Valley that I had never seen before. Plus, I know he wanted out of the house just as much as I did.
Baby games can be tiring. Let's face it, peek-a-boo can't last for hours! That being said, peek-a-boo is my 5 month olds' favorite. Like Stacibee, a Baby Einstein DVD has given me a chance to eat lunch, empty the dishwasher, and maybe check my e-mail real quick. I try not to use those too much, but they really do work! Sometimes I put little v in the Bjorn while I walk around the apartment. She loves to look around, especially in the bathroom.
p.s. I got a set of 20 baby einstein DVD's for less than $50.00 on ebay thanks to a tip from Aubreydoll. Otherwise it's like $15.00 for 1 DVD.
I used my bjorn a ton too! I could do anything two handed again and it was like seeing things from a new perspective for Meg! At 5 months she wasn't sitting up yet, so propping her with pillows was like a whole new world too!
Thanks for the ideas ladies. I do let her watch Baby Einstein periodically, but only have 4 DVDs (and she only likes 3 of them and gets bored quickly). I just ordered the boxed set on Ebay for $50. Thanks for the tip Linz and Aubrey!
