Chocolate Chip Toffee Bars

2 1/3 c. flour
2/3 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. margarine
1 egg, beaten slightly
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips (or milk - whatever you want)
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts ( I actually never put the nuts in)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/3 c. (8 oz. package) Heath Bits O' Brickle Almond Toffee Bits

Heat oven to 350. Grease 9x13 pan. Combine flour and brown sugar in large bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add egg, mix well with pastry blender ( I don't own a pastry blender, but a fork works great too). Stir in 1 1/2 c. chocolate chips and nuts; set aside 1 1/2c. of this crumb mixture for later.

Press remaining crumb mixture onto bottom of prepared pan. Bake 10 minutes. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over hot crust; set aside 1/4 c. of toffee bits. Sprinkle remaining toffee bits over sweetend condensed milk. Sprinkle remaining reserved crumb mixture and 1/2 c. chips over top.

Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Do not overcook. Top with reserved toffee bits. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.
